Last week

This is my last week in my job at Northwestern's Biomedical Engineering Dept.

I'm training someone new, who is really nice

Everything will be new and strange soon, but that is a welcoming change.


Also I fell asleep at 8pm last night watching "The year without a Santa Claus"
It was amazing.

After I took all those photos of J Vann Sunday and edited them. She posted them all on facebook. There were lots and lots of compliments
and it definitely boosted my self esteem.
Grace wants some, I need to find time to do them.

then her music teacher loved them and she would like some too!
Jvann told her I charge 150 dollars....

So possibly maybe. I might be a paid freelance photographer soon. And it is very exciting.
Could i turn this into a possible career if teaching doesn't work out?

Maybe someday, I could make a living taking pictures.
Jvann seemed really impressed with the headshots.
It made me feel really REALLY good....and accomplished or something along those lines...

But then again there are many people who can take a good picture, who are good photographers.

its nice though, when you can make something great out of just a camera, and just a computer.
no lights, no flashes, no assistants to hold my camera while i'm deep in thought.

aw geez. I miss you California.

This weekend was my 2nd to last weekend in Chicago, i was pretty surprised that no one really wanted to hang out with me. Possibly they were busy/possibly they forgot. I'm not really sure. Friday and Saturday night were spent at home however. Sunday being the busiest. I'll lay this out....

Friday-
McCormick Holiday Lunch- Hilarious time with Kurt/Ruben- Told Yun I was leaving finally
Train ride with Ruben, I was able to ask all the questions I've been curious about.
Shoe shopping with Lindsey-- long
Anthropologie--painful
Come home and watch stupid movies-- yes

Saturday-
Woke up too late
Attended a stupid fake German Festival

went to the Renegade Craft Fair, which was AMAZING and saw this band that I fell in love with called
Mucca Pazza (I think) Italian for Mad cow.
They were dressed in many different band uniforms and were so lively and happy.
ran into an old friend from the Art Institute and my old boss from there as well.

Came home...and nothing.

Sunday- Photographed JVann for headshots/demo picture/business card picture?
They turned out amazing and redefined my own abilities to take a good picture now and then.
I took around 850 pictures. But it was really fun.


Then free party at some douche-bag bar where we could drink for free for an hour

4 cranberry vodkas later, boots and I were singing disney songs on the way home. And feeling quite good at them at that.

Work went by incredibly fast today, 9 more days until I leave BME Northwestern. And yeah I'm nervous. This job is the first and only job where I have felt completely comfortable with my work and with my co-workers. Half the faculty are idiots, but I can't help but love working with Kurt,Ruben, Dina, Virginia and Lindsey. I will miss it so much. But it hurts too bad to come home and be alone and unhappy and then feel no self-worth. When I could be out creating my future....anyway.

Good news=
Veterans Memorial Library called me for an interview
Its nearly the holiday
I get to see Neofuturists this weekend starring Kurt/Dina/Ryan
I get to party with some fun people dressed up
Mike comes on Thursday :)

Bad news=
FL is steadily approaching- dread dread
I'm worried about leaving my job
Bills bills bills.
